One ticket via Dubai: Uzbekistan Airways and flydubai join networks
Flying to Bukhara from Nairobi, Amman or Muscat is now one booking instead of two. Uzbekistan Airways and flydubai have signed an interline agreement, so their flights can be combined on a single ticket.
What changes
You buy the whole journey at once, and your checked bags travel through to the final airport: no collecting and re-checking luggage at the connection. A single boarding pass for all flights is planned for a later stage.
Which routes
flydubai passengers can continue via Tashkent to Bukhara, Fergana and Urgench, the airport for Khiva, as well as to cities in Europe. In the other direction, Uzbekistan Airways passengers can connect in Dubai to flydubai destinations such as Addis Ababa, Nairobi, Zanzibar, Amman, Bahrain, Doha, Muscat, Salalah, Malé, Krabi, Naples and Pisa.
Where to buy
flydubai has been selling the combined tickets since 15 September 2026, and the Uzbekistan Airways website since 21 September.
Our advice
If you start in the west of the country, fly straight on to Urgench or Bukhara and finish in Tashkent by train; our train guide shows how. And the Dubai connection makes it easy to add a few days on the beach in Zanzibar or the Maldives after the Silk Road.
