Program
Day 1: Welcome to Uzbekistan — Tashkent Awaits
Day 2: Tashkent — Flight to Urgench — Khiva (PM Flight)
Day 3: Khiva the City of a Thousand Nights
- Kalta Minor Minaret – short, stout, and stunningly adorned with turquoise tiles, it’s Khiva’s most iconic silhouette.
- Muhammad Amin Khan Madrasah – once a grand religious school, now reborn as a heritage hotel and museum.
- Kunya Ark Citadel – former royal residence, military stronghold, and government seat; climb the watchtower for panoramic views of Khiva’s golden skyline.
- Tash Hauli Palace – a true jewel of Khorezm style, with richly carved columns, mosaic courtyards, and echoes of a once-glamorous royal harem.
Optional experience: At sunset climb to Ok Seih Bobo Fortress — feeling the mystical spirit of One Thousand and One Nights. (+10 USD p/p, weather permitting) Evening: Dinner in a charming courtyard restaurant under the stars. After dinner, enjoy free time to wander Khiva’s enchanted alleys as dusk paints the mudbrick walls in warm golden tones. Overnight in Khiva
Day 4: Desert Journey — Khiva to Bukhara
Day 5: Bukhara — The City Where Time Stands Still
- Toki Zargaron – the glimmering Jewelry Bazaar
- Toki Telpak Furushon – the colorful Hat Makers’ Dome
- Toki Sarrafon – the historic Money Changers’ Market
Each one a time capsule of trade, craftsmanship, and everyday life — and perfect for discovering handmade souvenirs. Evening Highlights: We end the day with a visit to the Poi-Kalon Complex — the architectural heart of Bukhara. The towering Kalon Minaret (1127), once known as the “Tower of Death”, now stands as a symbol of the city’s enduring elegance. The majestic Kalon Mosque and the still-active Miri Arab Madrasah add spiritual gravitas to this open square of grandeur. Final stop: The whimsical Chor Minor — a charming structure with four blue domes and an architectural style unlike anything else in Bukhara, influenced by distant Indian designs. Evening delight: Join a plov masterclass in a welcoming local guesthouse. Learn the secrets of Uzbekistan’s most beloved dish — and then enjoy it, steaming and fragrant, fresh from the kazan. Overnight in Bukhara
Day 6: From Bukhara to Samarkand — Across Time and Empire
Day 7: Samarkand — Crossroads of Civilizations — Tashkent
- Registan Square — The soul of Samarkand. Framed by three majestic madrasahs — Ulugh Beg, Sher Dor, and Tillya-Kori — this square was once the pulse of the city’s intellectual and spiritual life.
- Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis — A sacred avenue of turquoise-domed tombs where saints, royals, and warriors rest. Its name means “The Living King”, and its spiritual aura is matched only by its dazzling artistry.
- Bibi-Khanym Mosque — Once the largest mosque in the Islamic world, it was built by Timur in honor of his beloved queen. The sheer scale, carved marble, and towering arches will leave you speechless.
- Siab Bazaar — Step into a feast for the senses. This colorful market next to the mosque has been bustling since Silk Road days — ideal for sampling dried fruits, saffron, sweets, and handwoven souvenirs.
In the late afternoon, we board the Afrosiyob train back to Tashkent. Evening: Farewell dinner in one of Tashkent’s finest traditional restaurants, accompanied by live Uzbek music — a perfect ending to your journey through time. Overnight in Tashkent
Day 8: Farewell, Uzbekistan

Good to know
Frequently asked questions
Why book with AroundCA instead of arranging it myself online?
Because a booking site gives you rooms; we give you a trip that actually works. We know which neighbourhood to stay in, which “great” hotel disappoints, how to sequence a route so you’re not backtracking, and who to call when a flight is cancelled at 11pm. You get a real person who lives in the region — not 40 open browser tabs and a gut feeling.
How much does your planning service cost?
Nothing. Our planning, proposals and revisions are free — we’re paid by the hotels and suppliers we book, at the same rates you’d pay them directly. Expert planning at no extra cost to you.
Is it more expensive than booking direct?
No. We pass through the rates our partners give us, and every proposal is itemised so you see exactly what you pay for. No hidden mark-ups, no fees buried at checkout.
Are you a licensed and insured company?
Yes — fully. We’re a licensed Uzbek tour operator (licence № 853484, registry L-41802557), issued by the Committee for Tourism of Tashkent and valid for domestic, inbound and outbound tourism. Our tour-operator civil liability is insured with APEX INSURANCE (policy EAPD № 1016716). Both documents are available on request.
How do I pay, and is it secure?
Everything is official and transparent. You can pay by bank transfer to our Uzbek company account, or through a secure payment link from our website — official internet acquiring protected by end-to-end encryption. If you prefer, you can also pay via our single company QR code. No cash-in-hand, no grey schemes.
Which destinations do you cover?
We operate across Central Asia — Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan — plus the Caucasus on request, in combination with a Central Asia route. If you don’t see your destination, ask anyway.
Do you also handle flights, visas and insurance?
Yes. We cover all air tickets, visas and travel insurance within our region — your whole trip arranged in one place.
What kind of trips do you plan?
All of them, as long as they’re tailored — honeymoons and romantic getaways, family holidays, luxury and premium escapes, and organised groups, incentives and corporate/MICE programmes.
Can I change the proposal after I receive it?
Yes — that’s the point. Adjust the pace, swap hotels, move dates, tweak the budget. We refine it together over as many rounds as you need, then you confirm.
What’s your cancellation and refund policy?
It depends on your specific booking. Cancellation terms usually follow the hotels’ penalty rules, and air tickets follow the official airlines’ fare conditions. We always show you the exact terms for your trip before you confirm — no surprises.
How do we stay in touch during the trip?
You have us on call throughout — by WhatsApp, phone or email. If a reservation slips or plans change on the ground, one message and we sort it.
