Program

Day-by-day itinerary

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to the Uzbekistan-Tajikistan border, Jarteppa (30 km, 45 minutes). Border crossing.

Meeting with the Tajik guide and driver at the border of Jarteppa and transfer to the city of Penjikent (20 km). The ancient settlement, as well as the modern city, is called Penjikent, which in Tajik means “five villages” that, where possible, gave life to the glorious city, which according to scientists is no less than 5500 years old.

Later, to the ancient settlement of Sarazm and the Penjikent museum of antiquities. Lunch on the bank of the Zerafshan River.

After lunch, drive to visit the beautiful Seven Lakes area – seven different beautiful lakes from ultramarine blue to dark green (50 km, 2 hours). Stop for photos at each lake.

Return to the city. Visit to the local bazaar.

Dinner and overnight at Panjakent plaza hotel or similar.

After breakfast we will drive to one of the oldest cities in Central Asia – Istaravshan, where the ancient Persian king Cyrus lived (formerly known as the city of Kiropol). Istaravshan is famous for its craftsmen, tourist attractions, tradition and history.

During the day we will visit the largest lake in the Fan mountain system – Lake Iskanderkul. Later we will continue to the city of Istaravshan. We will visit Mugteppa and Kok Gumbaz after lunch.

After lunch we will continue to the city of Hujand (270 km, 4-5 hours).

Dinner and overnight at Sugdiyon 3* hotel or similar.

After breakfast, we will continue our stay and start sightseeing around the city of Hujand, the center of the northern region. A unique opportunity to learn about Tajik culture and traditions.

We will visit the museum located next to the famous city fortress. After lunch, we will visit the 19th century National House in the historical center. You will see the architecture and design of the Tajik national house in the 19th century, which shows a national rite.

Today, we are also awaited by collectors of Tajik handicrafts from the Atlas (skullcap, knives). The collections are the envy of many museums and collectors in the world.

We leave you some time to feel the spirit of the East, the most wonderful place is this Panjshanbe market. One of the largest indoor markets in Central Asia.

In addition to the market, our focus is on the 14th century Mavzaley Shaikh Maslehatoddina.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the border between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Oybek (80 km, 1 hour). (Without guide)

Meeting at the border and transfer to the city of Tashkent (2 hours). Arrival and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport with the company driver (without guide) to take the return flight.

Transfer to the Uzbek-Tajik border, Jarteppa (30 km, 45 minutes). Border crossing. Without guide.

Meeting with the Tajik guide and driver at the border of Jartepa, transfer to the city of Penjikent.

First, we will head to the mountains, to the area of the Seven Lakes – seven beautiful lakes of colors varying from ultramarine to green (Altitude: 2200 m, Distance: 40 km, Duration: 1.5 hours). We will have a photo session around the lakes and enjoy the scenery. Return to the city.

Lunch at a restaurant by the Zeravshan River.

After lunch, we will visit the most famous archaeological site in Central Asia, the settlement of Sarazm, which is more than 5,500 years old. Then, we will explore the Republican Historical Museum of Panjakent, where we will learn about the history and culture of the ancient inhabitants of the region. Afterwards, we will tour the excavations of Ancient Panjakent, also known as the “Pompeii of Central Asia.”

Return to the border. Meeting at the border and transfer to the city of Samarkand (1 hour). Arrival and accommodation at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport with the company driver (without guide) to take the return flight. End of our services.
