TOUR CANCELLATION CONDITIONS:

  • Train ticket refunds are made according to the rules of the railway company.
  • 50% in case of cancellation 3 days before the services are provided.
  • 100% in case of cancellation 2-0 days before the services are provided.

Departure to Samarkand by car (~ 270 km, 4-5 hours). Arrival and breakfast at a local restaurant.

Start of the Samarkand excursion — The Heart of the Silk Road

Registan Square – The main square of Central Asia and an architectural masterpiece of the 15th–17th centuries. You will see the three famous madrasahs — Ulugbek, Sher-Dor and Tillya-Kari, and learn about the development of science, religion and art during the Timurid era.

Gur-Emir Mausoleum – The tomb of the great commander Amir Timur (Tamerlane). The monumental dome and exquisite interior make this place one of the most impressive monuments of Samarkand.

Bibi-Khanym Mosque – One of the largest architectural projects of its time, built by order of Timur in honor of his wife.

Siab Bazaar – An introduction to Oriental atmosphere: spices, dried fruits, flatbreads and local sweets. Opportunity to try Samarkand bread.

Lunch at a national restaurant – plov, manti or shashlik (optional).

Shah-i-Zinda Necropolis – A unique architectural ensemble of mausoleums with rich mosaics and ceramics — one of the most atmospheric places in the city.

Ulugbek Observatory – One of the most important scientific structures of the 15th century, evidence of the high level of astronomy during the Timurid era.

17:00–18:00 — End of the excursion, return to Tashkent (~ 270 km, 4-5 hours). Or overnight in Samarkand (hotel is paid and booked additionally).
