In reality, they had discovered an underground cave filled with natural gas. Fearing that the crater would cause several dangerous natural gases to escape, the team decided to set fire to it. After being the regional capital, it was invaded by the Arabs in 712. The local rulers, the Afrigid dynasty, had no choice but to convert. This was the beginning of the commercial growth that led Kunya-Urgench to compete with Bukhara and even form its own Persian dynasty, the Khorezmits. However, in 1221 Genghis Khan razed the city to the ground, like so many others in Central Asia. Under the Turko-Mongols, however, Kunya-Urgench experienced a second youth. So much so that she aroused the suspicion of Tamerlane, who had settled in Samarkand. He put it under his command, but after several rebellions it took the most common route at the time: he razed everything to the ground, including the irrigation system used by the population. This and a change in the course of the Amu Darya eventually emptied the city. It was used as a cemetery by Turkmen until archaeological work began in 1929 by the Russian Alexander Yakubovsky. It is important to inform customers that the variety of menus is not very wide and it is very important to advise that in Uzbekistan there are no specialized menus for vegetarians, celiacs, etc. In the event of such a request, the restaurants will be notified so that they can try to adapt the agreed menu as much as possible within the possibilities available. If the passenger wants something different from what is offered on the menus, he or she will have to pay any extra costs that the restaurants may apply. In these cases, the guide will help passengers whenever possible to find the best menu options for meals, but it is important that passengers keep in mind that the final responsibility lies with the passengers themselves.
